What do you do with the journals of a prayer warrior? You share them. When Mary McLeary received the journals from her mother on the Christmas before her mother died, wisdom gleaned from years of Bible study and prayer was passed on.
The Christmas gift initiated a project that started with a blog (www.aquaanst.com) and developed into a book of stories that always end with the words of a mother who covered her family in prayer.
This book is being shared with the hope that it will refresh and encourage others as they continue on their own faith walks.

A friend of mine wrote this, and it really is a beautiful book! It tells her story from a blog she started that grew into this book, which came from the author's mother's prayer journals left to her daughter. It is an easy read, because once you start it, you do not want to put it down. It is filled with so many "pearls of wisdom"; I would have loved to have known Mary's mother. She really lived and breathed her faith, and left such a presence and an example of Christian living behind to so many. One of my favorite stories in the book, because of the perspective Mary puts on it, is when Christa McAuliffe was aboard the space shuttle in 1986. Mary was watching in the teacher's lounge, just as I remember so vividly where I was watching. She talked about how she and the school librarian were crying. She goes on to describe how the country was stunned, "her family and friends devastated, but twenty-five years later her memory is alive in her hometown" as well as the other crew members. She goes on, "Though most of us will not reach our full potential, Christa came closer than most. My journal entry reminded me that life is too short to waste a minute." I hope you won't miss this beautiful tribute, and great bedside book!Product details

what a precious legacy to leave to your children and grandchildren and then for one of them to share with the world...if you want a short read that inspires, encourages and makes you laugh, you need to read "in my Mother's words"....
Loved reading this book. The author is a good friend and this just makes me cherish that friendship even more! I would have loved to meet her Mother. She sounds like she was an extraoridnary woman. She would be so proud of Mary. Couldn't put it down once I started reading it - inspirational and very uplifting! Loved it, Miss Mary!!!
Presentation like a paragraph long story with a following comment of scripture application to life circumstances.
Nice and very applicable just not to my preference.
In this book Mary took her mother's prayer journals and related them to her own present-day situations.
It makes a great daily devotion book.
Mary does a great job of transitioning subject matter...very inspiring read..I highly recommend this book to everyone who is looking for an inspirational read.
This is a beautiful collection of single age short stories that are inspired by journal entries in a prayer book. A deeply religious woman and her daughter share their wisdom and perspective.
Reading this book brought many reminders to me of my own mother and the strength she received by being in a state of constant prayer. She as well taught me and other family members that life is not always easy but we are never alone...God never leaves us and HE desires to be our best friend. Thank you Mary for reminding me that it is now my turn to step up and pass this on to my children, grandchildren and family
